I was standing in my garden today and realized I had diminished part of the miracle that exists true in reality but not acknowledged by me. Does a bounty and abundance exist if it is not realized?
In my memory we had planted many starts in the beds. Over time the starts experienced various challenges. As the little ones disappeared I felt a bit of despair and resigned myself to what was left. There is another question often asked, ‘Is the garden half full or half empty?’
Abundance and bounty are never half anything. Perception doesn’t change the truth that the garden has thrived and provided a real miracle. Be satiated.

The new birth is a living miracle. Empty shells littered the trays. Green emerged proclaiming the starts. First it was one then a few and the new life spread. Covering the entire trays. Such a small beginning with enormous implications. A truly fulfilling sight knowing the table will be filled with love.
New beginnings start with the first.
What is more exciting than the excitement of the beginning?

Its time to take a fresh look at the garden and get a little closer to where our food comes from. Being detached from our food’s origin can be costly and poisonous.
Consider the simplicity of the concept of freshness. What is being promoted as fresh may in fact be dead. The greens and lettuce are rinsed in bleach. The apples are cold storage in gas. And much of our food is irradiated (expose to gamma rays to kill microorganisms.
This Section of Fresh Ground News™ is dedicated to finding you the best, freshest and most desirable foods available in our Santa Cruz County area.
